How the New Marketplace Changes Domain Buying

With the launch of our Marketplace, Snap Domains now offers two distinct paths to acquiring a premium domain. Understanding the difference helps you choose the right one for your situation.

Brokerage: when the domain is not for sale

Our original service is built for domains that are owned by someone else and not actively listed. We act as a neutral third party, reaching out to the owner and negotiating on your behalf. This takes time, typically two to four weeks, and there is no guarantee the owner will sell.

Marketplace: when the domain is ready to move

The Marketplace is for domains that are already available for purchase. Some are held directly by Snap Domains, while others are listed on behalf of clients who have asked us to sell on their behalf. There is no outreach phase. You see the price, you buy or offer, and the transfer begins.

Which should you choose?

If the domain you want is listed in the Marketplace, start there. It is faster and the outcome is certain. If it is not listed, use the brokerage flow and we will attempt to acquire it for you. You can read more about the offer process in Buy Now or Make an Offer.
